The Karnataka Tank Conservation and Development Authority has granted conditional approval to the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) for construction of a short tunnel through a portion of Hebbel Lake premises for the implementation of Bellary Road Three Lane Underpass Project (Hebbal Junction-KVAFSU-UAS Staff Quarters).
