The Union Government inaugurated Thirumangalam-Therkuvenganallur Four Laning Road Project (NH-744) (Package II) which involved construction of four laning of Vadugapatti-Therkuvenganallur section from 36 km to 71.6 km of NH-744 at a total project cost of Rs 13,180 million.
