The central government plans to invest Rs 1.5 trillion in West Bengal over the next three years for a variety of infrastructural projects.
Between 2014 and 2021, the centre spent Rs 100 billion on the 1,068-km stretch of the National Highway. Additional work on 1,200 km is underway, with a projected investment of Rs 240 billion.
