The construction work on the Banbasa ICP Four Lane Road Connectivity Project (Sitarganj-Tanakpur stretch) (NH-9) is likely to be completed by December 2027. About 7.2 ha of land has been allocated for the same.
The project involves construction of 4.6 km long four lane road stretch connecting Banbasa ICP on India-Nepal Border from National Highway (NH)-09 at 40 km near Jagbuda bridge on Sitarganj – Tanakpur stretch on the National Highway (NH)-109D in the state of Uttarakhand. It is being implemented under Bharatmala Pariyojana on engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) basis at a total cost of Rs 2,500 million.
